We always go to The Glaven when we are in Blakeney, usually for breakfast but have also had Sunday lunch a couple of times. The food, atmosphere and warm welcome from Carron and James makes our visit. Would highly recommend!

Just lunched at The Glaven Bistro and what an absolute delight it was. We turned up on spec but were greeted by friendly staff who offered us a favourite spot in the simple but stylish, bright and comfortable restaurant. The (seasonal) menu was fresh, innovative, using local produce and catered for all sizes of appetites. We had a delicious dish of beetroot fritters on a bed of whipped (local) goats cheese accompanied by a portion of crispy fries. The other extreme of appetites were covered by a very substantial Club sandwich with fries at one end and a tasty sausage roll with a small salad garnish and chutney at the other. The fine food was enhanced by incredibly friendly, attentive and knowledgeable staff who went to great lengths to explain the local ingredients, and wine, and gave their customers any amount of their time. A thoroughly enjoyable experience in a venue that seemed to please young, old, singles, groups, babies and dogs. Well done

Popped in for a spot of lunch following a walk around the coast. Food and service were great. We’ll definitely be returning.

Had a lovely celebration afternoon tea here, a little bit different from local hotels. You need to book in advance, and the service is friendly. Started with the offer or bubbles- elderflower on offer. Vegetarians well catered for too. Hearty sandwiches with delicious fillings, lovely scones and cakes and a very tasty plum Eton mess. Thoroughly recommend as you can potter round the craft centre and the quirky shell museum as well

We love Glaven Bistro. Carron is super lovely, she always takes the time to check on everyone. For me, Glaven Bistro takes the lead for vegan breakfasts in North Norfolk, the flavours and textures are wonderful. The coffee is also lovely - my go to is the oat milk latte. As die hard breakfast goers, we thought we'd try the Sunday roast this week, and it did not disappoint. A beautiful roast dinner, both vegan and non vegan options are available and as always, the food was freshly prepared and the flavours were wonderful. My partner specifically remarked on how much he enjoyed the salmon and prawn starter. As always, the meal was fairly priced and delicious, oh and the dessert options are fabulous, too.

We attended the Music night with Kevan Taplin. Had a lovely time. The food was superb, accompanied by a wine flight of local Norfolk wines (very good). Kevan played a mix of his own songs and classics in his own inimitable style - all added to a great atmosphere. All in all, a very enjoyable evening. Thank you.

At the beginning, I thought it's a common cafe and do not have much expectation. But I was wrong. The cafe is keen to use local area food such as Cromer crab and Walsingham cheese to make their food, which is admirable. Besides, the chef find a perfect way to do fusion meal -- combine the features of Japan sushi and local ingredients and make the crab sushi. As a Japanese food lover, I can understand why and how the chef prepare the meal and how he do this fusion meal. I'd say it's impressive and I'm amazedby the incredible food decoration and taste. I look forward to find out more restaurants that can make similar level of fusion dish. Btw, the cafe also offers Jazz evening. I'd love to come again to enjoy the music!

Went today and absolutely loved everything about the Glaven Bistro. Had the chowder, which was delicious, and so fresh and flavoursome. Service was superb and so accommodating. Will definitely be back again, especially for the teabags, which are superb to say the least. We called in today and had the most beautiful meal again. Constantly delicious food and service is always superb. As we live quite close, we see ourselves as being extremely lucky and fortunate to have the Glaven Bistro as the place to dine when we are up around this way.
